All remanufactured parts in one click:
The drive shaft as a genuine remanufactured part for trucks is responsible for transferring power between the transmission and the wheels and is part of the drivetrain. When you choose a genuine remanufactured part for repairs, your Mercedes remains a true original, because wear parts are replaced exclusively with genuine parts during remanufacturing.
In principle, drive shafts transfer the torque in perfect synchronization and are part of the sub-category of propeller shafts. In a truck, the power from the engine is transferred to the drive shaft via the transmission. This in turn transfers the power to the wheel suspension, where the wheels are ultimately driven.
Furthermore, steering and suspension movement can cause changes in length and angle. To compensate for these and ensure perfect synchronization, there are a few little refinements built in to the drive shaft. Drive shafts have axle spindles on the wheel-facing sides to incorporate the wheel suspension components. The other end, at the transmission, is fitted with various vertical and horizontal gearwheels (crown gear, bevel gear, etc.). Wheel joints are used on the wheel side and constant velocity joints on the transmission side.
With our genuine remanufactured drive shaft, you receive a product at a level of quality equivalent to that of a new part. Not only that, but you also save money, because the Mercedes‑Benz Genuine Remanufacturing process requires fewer resources than manufacturing new parts. Our drive shafts also operate with similar dimensional accuracy, robustness and reliability to the equivalent new part.
