The fluid coupling, also known as a hydraulic clutch or wear-free integrated starting and braking device, is responsible for power transmission in heavy-duty vehicles. It enables the working engine to start up without wear even in the toughest operating conditions. Only once the engine has reached its rated speed will the truck start to move. The purpose of the hydraulic clutch is to limit the released torque independently so as to protect the engine and the truck.
